Mike Fortin is a retired Petty Officer Second Class of the Royal Canadian Navy, where he served for more than 12 years specializing in marine communications and systems. In addition to his naval career, Mike has lived aboard his own vessels for over 11 years, giving him valuable firsthand experience with vessel operations and life at sea.
His passion for the marine industry began early while working for his grandfather’s marine maintenance company in Ontario as a teenager. Since then, he has spent his entire adult life working on and around boats, including over a decade as an active member of the British Columbia sailing community.
Mike’s professional experience includes commercial project management, electrical system overhauls, full vessel refits, fiberglass repairs and upgrades, and complete marine electronics installations.
Whether preparing for an offshore passage, arranging an insurance survey, or purchasing a vessel, Mike provides thorough inspections and practical advice to help clients make confident, informed decisions.
